The American Civil War may have lasted four year,but they were four years of intense conflict and turnmoil this country had every seen. From 1861 to 1865, the United States split into two over burning issue of slavery, with states being torn apart at the seam.
The siege of "Port Hudson" was one of the last battles of this war. Every year the park has reenactments to preserve the history and sacrifices that these soldiers made. This war changed the country within and because of it we are a greater nation.

Every year thousands of old antique and restored cars travel to south Mississippi for this event.The people and cars were great, and so was the weather..
